In the title mononuclear complex, [Cu(ClO 4 ) 2 (C 5 H 4 N 2 O 3 ) 4 ], the six-coordinated Cu II ion lies on an inversion centre and presents a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. Astacking interaction is observed between symmetry-related pyridine rings.
The Cu atom in the title compound, [Cu(C 5 H 11 NO 2 ) 4 ](PF 6 ) 2 , shows square-planar coordination. The asymmetric unit comprises one eighth of the molecular formula.
