## Abstract Cyclooxygenaseโ2 (COXโ2) is an inducible enzyme that regulates prostaglandin synthesis and is overexpressed at sites of inflammation and in several epithelial cancers. A causal link for COXโ2 in epithelial tumorigenesis was shown in genetically manipulated animal models of colon and bre

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Apoptosis plays an important role in skin carcinogenesis. BclโX~L~, an antiapoptotic Bclโ2 family member, is a key regulator in the process. Aberrant expression of BclโX~L~ allows cells carrying mutations to survive and propagate. Overexpression of BclโX~L~ is correlated with tumor malignancy and invasion. Importantly, deregulation of BclโX~L~ confers drug resistance to chemotherapy. Therefore, targeting BclโX~L~ in combination with conventional chemotherapy is a promising way to pursue cancer chemotherapy. Several compounds targeting BclโX~L~ expression or function have shown their potential in chemoprevention and of chemotherapy of cancer. ยฉ 2007 WileyโLiss, Inc.

## Abstract Here we review an approach to the design and production of antibody/ligand pairs for use in cell targeting procedures, to achieve functional affinity far greater than avidin/biotin. Using fundamental chemical principles, we have developed antibody/ligand pairs that retain the binding sp
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is a potent polyphenolic antioxidant extracted from green tea. Due to its antimutagenic and antitumor activities, it is a promising candidate for use in topical formulations for skin cancer prevention. The overall goal of this study was therefore to determine the inยฏu
## Abstract Cyclooxygenaseโ2 (COXโ2), an enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of prostaglandins, is overexpressed in a variety of premalignant and malignant conditions, including oral leukoplakia and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Increased levels of COXโ2 may contribute to carcinogen
