✦ Synopsis

We report the synthesis and the properties of the Gd(III) complex with 4 (H 4 dotetra), a novel mixed pendant-arm macrocyclic ligand embodying a tetrazole subunit in a N 5 O 3 donor set as a potential magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent.

A straightforward and efficient synthesis of Gd-DTPA-cholesterol is reported. This new lipophilic gadolinium complex can be easily incorporated into mixed micelles in order to achieve MRI contrast agents with increased relaxivity. These supramolecular systems can find potential application in magnet

## Abstract A series of new Gd(III) hydroxypyridonate complexes featuring a mesitylene (ME)‐derived ligand cap has been prepared. Relaxometric characterization reveals that the complexes tend to form large aggregates in solution with slow tumbling rates, as estimated from NMRD analysis, and unique

Nitroxides, paramagnetic compounds with demonstrated effectiveness as contrast agents in proton magnetic resonance imaging, shorten the relaxation times of protons and therefore cause an increase in image intensity in tissues into which they distribute. In this study, the metabolic fate of the nitro

The synthesis of new DOTA tetraamide (DOTAMR 4 ) compounds is of great interest given their application in the formation of Ln(III) complexes as potential PARACEST contrast agents in MRI or fluorescent molecular probes. In this context amino acid and peptide DOTAMR 4 derivatives are particularly att
