β¦ Synopsis
A seven step synthetic route to (*)-10-[2-( l-methyl-2-pi peridi nyl )ethyl 1-2-methyl thio-10l-phenothiazi ne (thioridazine) was developed starting from racemic ethyl 1- methyl-2-piperidinecarboxylate.
The lithium aluminum deuteride reduction o f the starting and homologous esters allowed the incorporation of deuterium in the 1-and/or 2position(s) o f the ethyl side chain of thioridazine. The isotopic purity of the tetradeuterated and two dideuterated products was greater than 99%.

The synthesis of deuteriumβlabelled trantinterol is described. The labelled trantinterol is used as an internal standard for the analysis and metabol
## Abstract This study describes the synthesis of deuteriumβlabelled etravirine. Etravirine labelled with six deuteriums was prepared in eight steps starting from phenol with excellent chemical purity and isotopic enrichment. It provides important internal standard for the clinical studies of etrav
