## Abstract New polyurethanes (4a, 4b) and a segmented polyurethane (4c) bearing phosphatidylcholine moieties in the main chain were synthesized. They are thermally stable up to 300°C and show the viscosity behaviour of common polyelectrolytes. Preliminary studies suggest that these polyurethanes a
