Crystal Structure Analysis of C U ~( C H ~C H ~C O O ) * ( O P P ~~) ~ The complex of [ C U ( C H ~C H C O O ) ~( O P ~~) ] ~ has been synthesized and its X-ray crystal structure determined at room temperature, M = 975.96, tetragonal, space group: I41/a(#88), Dx = 1.39 g/ cm3, The final R is 0.067 for 2087 independent observed reflections with 1 > &(I). The molecule has an inversion center on the middle of the Cu-Cu axis. The bond-length of the Cu-Cu is 2.61/ (2) A. The coordinate polyhedron of Cu corresponds to a tetragonal bipyramid. The angle of Cu-0-P is significantly smaller than that of its adducts [Cu(02CR)2L]2.

## Reactions of PhAsCl 2 with BrMg(CH 2 ) n MgBr (n = 4 or 5) in THF gave phenylarsacycloalkanes as colourless oily liquids which could be distilled under vacuum. Treatment of PhAs C (CH 2 ) n with MCl 2 (RCN) 2 (M = Pd or Pt; R = Ph or Me) afforded mononuclear complexes, [MCl 2 {PhAs C (CH 2 ) n
The hydrothermal reactions of CuBr 2 , CuBr, and ethylenediamine have resulted in the synthesis of two new compounds. [Cu(H 2 NCH 2 CH 2 NH 2 ) 2 ] [{Cu 2 Br 4 }] has a two-dimensional sheet structure while [Cu(H 2 NCH 2 CH 2 NH 2 ) 2 ] [{Cu 5 Br 7 }] crystallizes as a three-dimensional network. Bot
