✦ Synopsis

New solid complex compounds of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) with chrysin were obtained. Their composition and some physicochemical properties were studied (thermogravimetric analysis, ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectroscopy, magnetic properties). During heating, the hydrated complexes M(C 15 H 9 O 4 ) 2 rnH 2 O lose some crystallization water molecules in one or two steps, and then decompose to the oxides. A structure for the compounds was proposed.

Poly(viny1 chloride) (PVC) has been reacted with dimethylglyoxime (DMG) in THF to form the PVC-DMG complex, which has been characterized by spectroscopic and elemental analyses. The latter indicate that there is one DMG moiety anchored on the PVC chain by displacing every 12th C1 atom in the chain.

It has been evidenced that microcrystalline chitosan (MCCh) with a determined (by the potentiometric method in nonaqueous medium) degree of deacetylation of 0.87 acts as a polymeric chelating agent with cobalt(I1) and zinc(I1). The predomination of hydrolytic reactions, in the case of copper(I1) ion
