Abstract
Summary: A new calix[4]arene‐based periodic mesoporous organosilica has been synthesized using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and a calix[4]arene‐based silane monomer as the precursors and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant as the structure‐directing template, and is shown to be capable of visual detection and entrapment of NO~2~.
