โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A chlorozincophosphate with the composition Zn(HPO~4~)Clยท[C~6~H~14~N] has been synthesised under mild conditions in water medium in presence of 4โmethylpiperidine as organic template. The structure was determinated by single crystal Xโray diffraction. The unit cell is orthorhombic (space group Pcab) with a = 8.743(9), b = 9.592(6), c = 26.573(6) ร , Z = 8 and V = 2228.91(12) ร ^3^. The structure involves a network of ZnO~3~Cl and PO~3~(OH) tetrahedra forming macroanionic inorganic layers with four and eightโmembered rings. Charge balance is achieved by the protonated amine which is trapped in the interlayers space and interacts with the organic framework through hydrogen bonding. Solid state ^31^P and ^13^C MASโNMR spectroscopies are in full agreement with the Xโray structure. (ยฉ 2007 WILEYโVCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
