## Abstract The synthesis of the spin‐labeled uridine and 2′‐deoxyridine analogues RUGT **2**, DUGT **3**, __l__‐RUGT **4**, and __l__‐DUGT **5** is described. DUGT **3** showed some activity against the leukemia P388 cell line.
