A novel type of diarolyurea compound containing a furan ring has been designed and prepared. Thus, a series of N-aroyl-N@-(5-aryl-2-furoyl)ureas were synthesized by a nucleophilic addition reaction between 5-substituted furamide and aroyl isocyanate in high yield ([80%). Their structures were con-รr
Synthesis, Antiarrhythmic and Hypotensive Activity of Some Novel 1,3-Disubstituted Ureas and Phenyl N-Substituted Carbamates. -The pharmacological and toxicological investigations of the new compounds indicate that the urea (IIIb) exhibits a strong hypotensive action and the carbamates (Vb) and (Vc)
A new series of N-phosphinylureas 5b, 6a-7c was synthesized and characterized by 1 H, 13 C, 31 P NMR, IR, and elemental analysis. The three-dimensional structure of 5b has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure revealed the existence of four independent molecules. All struct
