✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A cyclic hexadepsipeptide containing alternatively N‐methyl‐L‐isoleucine and D‐α‐hydroxy‐isovaleric acid (Fig. 1) has been synthesized. It proved to be identical with Enniatin A, a microbiologically active metabolite isolated in 1947 from Fusarium oxysporum SCHLECHT.
