β¦ Synopsis
The theoretical and practical implications of simultaneous temperature/pressure and synchronized density/temperature programming are considered. Examples are shown for separations of dimethylpolysiloxanes where these techniques provide superior separation over their analogous isothermal programming methods.

## Abstract When temperature programming is performed in supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) under conditions where the soluteβmobile phase interactions are approximately fixed, that is, with the use of constant mobile phase density, then positive temperature programs can be used. The results
The data so far published on this subject are not very satisfactory [S-lo]. Not only the results but also the dimensions used for expression of enzyme activities differ considerably and are confusing. 5a-reducing enzymes are commonly evaluated by measuring the metabolic conversion rates of a labeled
A technique which allows the a priori determination of optimal density programs for supercriticalfluid chromatography (SFC) is proposed. This new approach is meant to supersede heuristic methods for optimizing molecular resolution in SFC. The analysis is based upon optimal control theory applied to
## Abstract A simple and versatile system is described for the onβline coupling of SFE to capillary GC. The interfacing consists of a programmed temperature vaporizer (PTV) injector. With this injector it is possible to combine solute trapping, elimination of a high flow of extraction fluid, and qu
