โœฆ Synopsis

By reducing transmission loss in the speed-change control system and optimizing the transmission ratio using an electronically controlled DC motor, the authors were able to prove that the dry hybrid belt CVT is more fuel efficient than manual transmissions. This paper describes the results of the transmission-loss analysis and the control method used for the speed-change ratio.

It is desirable to change the shift schedule of an automatic transmission according to the road gradient. We have developed a calculation method of drive torque, and applied it to calculate the road gradient the car is running over. By improving the detecting method of vehicle speed and the masking
