Tropical World provides us several underexplolted or unexploitcd trees. This study presents the chemical composition of 21 different naturally occurring seed oils from Sarawak. Eastern Malaysia. The triglycerides vary between 10 -98 YO, Some of the species contain highest amounts of lauric acid (Gvmnacranrlrrra contrucra). palrnitic acid (Ducryodes costuta). stearic acid (Garcrnia hombroniana), and LYlinolenic acid (Cephalomappa hrccnrianu). Their potential industrial applications are compared to those of existing available crops.
