In the title compound, [ZnCl 2 (C 16 H 20 N 2 )], the Zn cation is coordinated by two Cl anions and two N atoms of N,N 0dibenzylethane-1,2-diamine in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The molecules are linked into dimers by N-HÁ Á Á Cl and C-HÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds; neighboring dimers are linked int
