β¦ Synopsis
Ampicillin trihydrate ((12.5-575 \mu \mathrm{g})) and amoxycillin trihydrate ((10-400 \mu \mathrm{g})), in (25-\mathrm{ml}) total volume, are determined spectrophotometrically using picric and picramic acids as (\pi)-acceptors at (\mathrm{pH} 9). The method is relatively accurate (with a recovery of (100 \pm 1.67 %) ) and precise ((\mathrm{RSD}=1.7 %)) and was applied successfully to capsules, ampoules, and syrup formulations. 1994 Academic Press, Inc.

A simple and convenient spectrophotometric procedure is described for the determination of ampicillin. The method is based on the formation of a yellow ternary complex with 1,10-phenanthroline and copper(II) in acetate buffer solution \((\mathrm{pH} \simeq 5.0)\) and measurement at \(446 \mathrm{~nm
A method has been developed to measure hydrazine, hydrazides, and their mixtures using a modification of the trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid method [T. Okuyama and K. Satake (1960) J. Biochem. (Tokyo) 47, 654-660]. After incubation of the sample containing hydrazine and hydrazide with trinitrobenzenesu
## Abstract A rapid extraction and spectrophotometric determination of palladium with Nβpβchlorophenylbenzohydroxamic acid (NβpβClβBHA) is described. The palladium forms an orange coloured complex with NβpβClβBHA at pH 3.0. It is extracted with chlorobenzene and has a maximum absorbance at 430 nm.
