The dependence of the heavy atom induced
✍ JΓΌrgen Bendig; Manfred Siegmund; Siegrun Helm πŸ“‚ Article πŸ“… 1979 πŸ› Elsevier Science βš– 592 KB

The quenching constants K and the rate constants k of the heavy-atom-induced fluorescence quenching of B-methyltcridone were obtained from Stern-Volmer plots for nine different solvents. Iodomethane, iodoethane, iodobutane and iodobenzene were used as quenchers. It was found that the solvent depend

The role of the solvent in the dual lumi
✍ Paul Suppan πŸ“‚ Article πŸ“… 1986 πŸ› Elsevier Science 🌐 English βš– 154 KB

The dual luminescence of 4-N,N-dimethylaminobenzonitrile (DMABN) has been observed in 1-fluoropentane; only the normal emission is observed in hexane and in perfluorohexane. The solvent does not form exciplexes with DMABN and acts only by its dielectric stabilization of the twisted rotamer of DMABN.
