## Abstract Schiff base derivatives of 2‐hydroxynaphthylaldehyde were studied by means of ^13^C and ^15^N cross‐polarization magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy and deuterium isotope effects on ^15^N chemical shifts, Ξ”N(D), in the solid state. Ξ”N(D) in the solid state provided evidenced for the p
