โฆ Synopsis
The present note concerns the reduction of the global size of a planar patch antenna by using the insertion of slots and other capacitiยจe effects. The method of optimizing the size is shown to obtain the best reduction for the patch. Two examples are shown for the S-frequency band with linear polarization, including a single substrate and a double substrate. The configuration is reduced by 20% in dimensions on a substrate of permittiยจity of 2แ6.15.

## Abstract The design of a bandwidthโenhanced uniplanar MPA using EBGโAMC is presented. The designed structure with neither via holes nor multilayer substrates yields bandwidth enhancement still with useful radiation pattern values in its band. Two prototypes, a MPA and a PA with uniplanar EBGโAMC
Interruptions in the regular lattice of a phased array antenna can lead to elevated sidelobe levels in the resulting antenna pattern. A method for reducing the sidelobe level in such an array is presented, based on the use of a genetic algorithm that modifies the element weights in the array. Result
The reduction of NO by NHs over Rb was studied by field emission microscopy (PEM ). Similar to our earlier reported obscrvations for the NO-Hz reaction, a surface explosion was observed. A novel observation is the occurrence of local oscillations on the ( 5 1 1 )-(7 11) areas of the tip. The results
