โœฆ Synopsis

Interruptions in the regular lattice of a phased array antenna can lead to elevated sidelobe levels in the resulting antenna pattern. A method for reducing the sidelobe level in such an array is presented, based on the use of a genetic algorithm that modifies the element weights in the array. Results are presented for both scanned and unscanned arrays. V

A method of reducing the electromagnetic interference over a broad frequency range by controlling the excitation phase of the element antennas for beam shaping in a phase array used in such systems as wireless LAN is discussed. In this method, an optimum excitation phase of each element antenna is d
