Abstract
The paper describes a simple procedure enabling analysis of annular slot antennas backed by a dielectric layer. The formulation assumes thin slot approximation, which, together with typical bodyโofโrevolution scheme, allows to formulate the integral equations for modal magnetic current coefficients. Integrals of Green's functions appearing in the formulation are computed using mixed spatial/spectral method. ยฉ 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A mixed-potential integral equation is formulated for the wide-slot antenna, fed by a microstrip line, and solved using the method of moments (MoM). Our MoM implementation makes use of the Ge and Esselle (G-E) closed-form Green's functions for layered substrates. The key advantage of this new approa
As an example, the dual-reflector antennas of spheroidal wave function distribution and uniform distribution have been used. For spheroidal wave function distribution, we have obtained transmission efficiency of nearly 95%, whereas for the uniform distribution, only 80% has been obtained. ## CONCLU
