✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The design of an annular‐ring slot antenna for obtaining multi‐frequency operation using a coplanar waveguide feed (CPW) or microstrip line feed is presented. The operating frequencies are obtained by means of multiple radiating elements. Details of the proposed designs are investigated by experimental as well as theoretical studies. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract The paper describes a simple procedure enabling analysis of annular slot antennas backed by a dielectric layer. The formulation assumes thin slot approximation, which, together with typical body‐of‐revolution scheme, allows to formulate the integral equations for modal magnetic current

## Abstract A novel reconfigurable ring‐slot antenna with switchable polarization and frequency agility is presented. Circular polarization (CP) radiation of the proposed antenna is achieved by introducing proper asymmetry in the ring‐slot structure and feeding the ring slot using a microstrip line

## Abstract In this paper, a design of a rectangular‐ring slot antenna for obtaining triple‐frequency operation using a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed or microstrip‐line feed is presented. We introduce three concentric rectangular‐ring slots whose perimeters easily control the three respective opera

A compact active ring antenna integrated for direct conversion or zero-IF detection is presented in this paper. The ring antenna with annular ring slot exhibits wide-bandwidth and high-gain performances. Meanwhile, the ring acting as a phase shifter provides the necessary 90°characteristics to opera
