โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

In this article, shielded coplanar striplines (Sโ€CPS) are studied to achieve slowโ€wave transmission lines in a CMOS process. The slowโ€wave propagation is achieved by placing floating strips below the CPS transmission line. The propagation parameters of such transmission lines are derived by simulations by means of a โ€œfull waveโ€ 3D EM software. Quality factors as high as 35 at 10 GHz together with effective dielectric constants of 78 are reported. If these simulation results are confirmed by measurements, this would open the door to the possible realization of integrated transmission lineโ€based RF circuits such as power dividers, phaseโ€shifters, or filters of medium bandwidth below 10 GHz. ยฉ 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report the characterization of coplanar strip (CPS) transmission lines on dielectric boards at millimeter-wave frequency up to 40 GHz. The CPS line was analyzed and simulated using computer-aided design tools. Many CPS lines were built on RT/Duroid board and the measured attenuation is as low as

## Abstract A fully integrated 2.4 GHz direct up conversion RF transmitter compliant with lowโ€power ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4) standard is presented. The linear and gain controlled current mirror amplifier is used for up conversion mixer. It consumes 8 mA with 1.8โ€V power supply. The obtained transmitt

The design and performance of an inductively fed low-pass birdcage radiofrequency (RF) coil for applications at 9.4 T are described where tuning is accomplished by mechanically moving a concentric RF shield about the longitudinal axis of an RF coil. Moving the shield about the RF coil effectively ch

## Abstract In this letter, an advanced SIโ€GaAsโ€based manufacturing process is presented for creating high quality, cost effective, and compact size integrated passive devices. Through this advanced process, accurate thin film resistors, high Q spiral inductors, and high yield/breakdown voltage met
