โฆ Synopsis
The development of sharp, rapid, column separations of oxidized and reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotides with discontinuous elution which was necessary for equilibrium reaction rate measurements with dehydrogenase systems (1,2), as well as observations on the detection of impurities and purification of these compounds, are reported here. Separation by paper (3) and thin-layer chromatography (4) and by column chromatography with gradient elution (5,6) has been described.
