✦ Synopsis
Collisional self-, N 2 -, H 2 -, and Ar-broadening and self-, H 2 -, and He-shifting parameters of HCN lines in the n 2 band of HCN have been investigated in the spectral range 735-810 cm 01 . Line broadenings were determined with a frequencystabilized tunable diode laser spectrometer. Lineshifts were determined separately by monitoring the frequency of the diode laser, which was frequency-stabilized on the absorption peak of the studied line. Semiclassical calculations of self-and H 2 -induced broadenings and of self-induced shifts have been performed from the Robert-Bonamy formalism; the results are generally in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
