Some metK mutants of Salmonella typhimurium with constitutive methionine biosynthesis have no detectable S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) synthetase, the enzyme which converts methionine to SAM, the postulated corepressor of the methionine pathway. However, these mutants are not auxotrophic for SAM, an es

Many of the haemopoietic cell growth factors have now been purijied to homogeneity and their structural genes cloned. Methodr are also now available for obtainingpure populations of haemopoietic cells. The use of such cells, in combination with pure growth factors, has provided intriguing informatio
## Abstract This article describes the radiosynthesis of ^11^Cβlabelled Sβadenosylmethionine by an enzymatic process. This methyl donor was prepared by condensation of Lβ(methylβ^11^C) methionine with ATP. The synthesis and purification could be carried out in 20 minutes with a final yield of 80 %.
