By using CL pulsed dye laser, a detailed Rsman excitation profile for the q(A,) mode of CrOf-in aqueous solution was measured throughout the 'T, .-' Al transition at 371 nm. The Rxnan profile showed a shoulder around 383 nm which was tentatively assigned to B vibronic structure.
Resonance Raman excitation profiles of tram-azobenzene have been measured in the low-energy side of the symmetry-forbidden x\*+n absorption maximum at ~450 nm. It is found that this absorption makes a significant contribution to the observed Raman intensities.
Time-dependent wavepacket propagation techniques have been used to calculate the absorption spectrum and the resonance Raman excitation profiles of the n-'rr \* transition in azobenzene. A comparison of both the calculated absorption spectrum and excitation profiles with experiment has been made. Fr
Resonance Raman evcltatlon profiles of the vl(al), 2q and 3~~ bands of the [hInO4]-ion doped in K]ClO4] have been measured throughout the entue range of the vibromcally structured 'Tz -'Al (2e -t 1) absorptron band. The profiles dlsplay clear ribrome structure. The profiles of the overtones and the
