✦ Synopsis

Resonance Raman evcltatlon profiles of the vl(al), 2q and 3~~ bands of the [hInO4]-ion doped in K]ClO4] have been measured throughout the entue range of the vibromcally structured 'Tz -'Al (2e -t 1) absorptron band. The profiles dlsplay clear ribrome structure. The profiles of the overtones and the fundamental cross and recross one-other Both these

By using CL pulsed dye laser, a detailed Rsman excitation profile for the q(A,) mode of CrOf-in aqueous solution was measured throughout the 'T, .-' Al transition at 371 nm. The Rxnan profile showed a shoulder around 383 nm which was tentatively assigned to B vibronic structure.

Exact and adiabatic treatments of resonance Raman excitation profiles of vibronically active totally symmetric modes are compared. It is shown that an extension of the adiabatic treatment beyond linear non-Condon terms is necessary for situations where the interacting electronic states have very dif
