β¦ Synopsis
The resonance Raman spectrum of Wolffram's red is characterized by a progression in IQ, the Cl-dv-CJ symmetric breathing fundamental, tvhich reaches 9vr ; WI and x1 1 are found to be 319.5 and -2.00 cm-r respectively. The excitation profiles of VI and 2vt (both Stokes) and z~r (anti-Stokes) maximite at approximately ore (17 700 cm-'), v20 (17 950 cm-'), and uol (17 200 cm-') respectively, VM) being the 17 450 cm-l axially polarized mixed-vdence transition.
