A key integral in the deri¨ation of the size-dependent ( ) Maxwell᎐Garnett MG formula presented in the subject paper is not only noncon¨ergent, but also unnecessary. The correct deri¨ation of the MG formula, based on the so-called Fikioris approach, has been a¨ailable for se¨eral years.
