Peculiar phorophysical behaviour of hekafluorobenzene (C6F6) in solution has been observed. Laser pulse c.citation at 265 nm generates transient absorptions due fo species X and Y. Species X are identifsd with an inrermediite in the isomerization to the Dewar form. Y seems to be a seminate pair of C
