## BACKGROUND. It is generally known that replication errors (RERs) at microsatellite loci detected in human malignancies reflect a genetic instability that is caused by abnormalities of DNA mismatch repair system and underlie human carcinogenesis. The authors analyzed RERs in precancerous lesions
