✦ Synopsis

Photocycloaddittons of 2-trimethylsilylcyclopentenone to isobutylene, methylene cyclohexane, and isopropenyl acetate using stannous chloride-filtered light affords regiospecifically the head-to-tail cycloadducts. Desilylation of these compounds affords the respective cycloadducts of cyclopentenone in good yield.
