โฆ Synopsis
AMrucL-The regiosekctivity of Cundida w~furcficu lipase B towards lhe acetylatia, d polyhydroxylated steroids has ken sy~makally investigated. The enzyme &wed a marked merence for the alcoholic moieties on the A ring and on the steroidal side chain. sneking it possible the selective acylation at the positions 3 or 21 of polyhydtuxy steroids. Acylation with rhc synthetkaUy usefuk este.rs chloroszeuue and fevulinate was also accomplished, whereas estmifhion with butmate and pivaloate was unsuccessful.
