The effect of various ligands on Mn2+-catalysed radical and H,O, formation by autoxidation of cytostatic hydrazine derivatives has been investigated. The catalytic action is activated by ligands which favour formation of the tervalent state of manganese ion. This finding is discussed in terms of possible mechanisms.
