A variety of 2-allylated-5-substituted tetrazoles were prepared in excellent yields through the reaction of alkyland arylidenemalononitriles, allyl acetates and trimethylsilyl azide in the presence of a palladium catalyst.

โฆ Synopsis
The reactfons of trimethylsilyl azide ITMSA) with various afdehydes were found to be versatile procedures for the synthesis of gem-and 1,3-dfazides, tetrazoles, and nitriles, whoae formation ~88 varied by controlling the quantities of TNSA, catalyst, and the reaction conditions.
