## This article describes the formation of carbon-metal bonds by reacting carbonylmetalate ions with fluorocarbons. Complex formation depends on the nucleophilic behavior of the anions, and the susceptibility of fluorocarbons to this form of attack.

The reaction of metal carbonyl anions with methyl metal carbonyl compounds are grouped into three categories: adduct formation, methyl transfer, and no apparent reaction. The formation of acyl anion adducts was observable only in the reactions of (CO)5MnCH3 with either Mn(C0)5-or Re(C0)5-. The acyl
