Abstract
Analysis of the products from a vapor‐phase mixture of EtI and t‐BuI, in which free radicals were generated thermally, has yielded a rate constant for the recombination of 2__t__‐Bu⋅ of 10^5.4^ M^−1^ sec^−1^ at 100°C. The close agreement between this and other recent estimations from vapor‐phase work is noted, as is the disparity between these values and those on the order of 10^9^ M^−1^ sec^−1^ obtained in solution.

## Abstract The decay of photochemically generated __tert__‐butyl radicals in methylcyclopentane solutions containing chloroform is studied by time‐resolved ESR spectroscopy. In the pure solvent it perfectly follows the second‐order rate law for radical self‐termination. Increasing chloroform conce
## Abstract Summary: Termination kinetics in __tert__‐butyl methacrylate (__tert__‐BMA) and __n__‐butyl methacrylate (__n__‐BMA) bulk homopolymerizations has been studied via the single pulse‐pulsed laser polymerization‐near infrared (SP‐PLP‐NIR) method between 40 and 80 °C at pressures from 500 to
The kinetics of H abstraction by methyl and tert.butyl radicals from poly(p-tert.butyl styrene) (PTL3) films (5 × 10 3 mm thick) have been investigated at 298 K, both radicals being produced from the polymer by its exposure to short-wave u.v. radiation (2 = 254 nm) at pressures < 10 -4 Pa. The homogeneous rate of recombination of CFs radicals at 300 K was studied in a very-low-pressure photolysis flow reactor. The radicals were generated from CFsI by either CO, laser (1076 cm-') or excimer laser (248 nm) photolysis. The precursor and product concentrations were followed by mass spectr
