Chemically induced dynamic electron polarization (CIDEP) generated through the interaction of the excited triplet state of benzophenone with the 2,2,6,6,-tetramethyl-l-piperidinyloxyl (TEMPO) radical was investigated by time-resolved ESR spectroscopy in benzene solution. We carefully examined what f

✦ Synopsis
The effect of the electron dipole-dipole interaction (DDI) in multiplet chemically induced dynamic electron polarization (CIDEP) generated in radical pair (RP) recombination is investigated. It is demonstrated within some models that DDI results in multiplet CIDEP like exchange interaction (EI ) but of the sign opposite to that of EI induced one, corresponding to negative El. It is shown that in principle DDI effect can be responsible for change of the sign of multiplet CIDEP at large times recently observed for a number of RPs.
