The radiative lifetime of the AlCl A'II, u=O state has been determined by a laser-induced fluorescence method to be 6.4x 10e9 s. The estimated accuracy limits are + 40%.

Model potential calculations of the B r Du-X r xz transition dipole moment are used in conjunction with the empirica potential energy curves of Vidal and Hessel to calc&te the radiative lifetimes of the vibrational levels of the B r Du state. The lifetimes are nearly independent of the vibrational q
Laser-induced fluorescence from Sez(B(0 u ), A(0u+)) states has been examined and the fluorescence lifetimes of a number of unperturbed rovibrational levels of the B state measured. A collision-free lifetime of 47 ± 4 ns is reported for the v = 3-6, J < 82 levels of the. B state. The average of the
The radiative lifetimes Trad of the CO\* (A 'Iii. u' = O-9) states have been dctcrmincd using the CO\* (A 'Iii, u'+ X 'Z\*, u") "comet tail" emission. The CO\* (A 2JIil u') states were populated by 100 CV electrons incident on CO. The lifctimns have been obtained by means of the delayed coincidcncc
We ktve used the inelasticelectron-photon coincidence method to measure the radiative lifetimes of the first seven vibrational levels of the A 'l-t state of CO. They were found to decrease to a minimum wlue at V' = 3 before increasing again.
