✦ Synopsis


Model potential calculations of the B r Du-X r xz transition dipole moment are used in conjunction with the empirica potential energy curves of Vidal and Hessel to calc&te the radiative lifetimes of the vibrational levels of the B r Du state. The lifetimes are nearly independent of the vibrational quantum number with a value between 8 and 9 ns.
