The genes coding for the regulatory type Ic~ subunit (PRKAR1A) and the catalytic [3 subunit (PRKACB) of cAMP-dependent protein kinase and the genes for interleukin lc~ (IL1A) and interleukin 1[~ (IL1B) were localized in the pig by means of radioactive in situ hybridization. PRKAR1A was mapped to 12p
Localization of the regulatory subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase type II was studied in proliferating and quiescent fibroblasts 3T3 and in a cell line of neural origin pheochromocytoma PC12. In actively proliferating PC12 cells the regulatory subunit was found to be localized in the nucleus.
