High-รeld (11.7 and 14 T) proton high-resolution NMR spectra of apple juices obtained from a variety of cultivars are reported and partial spectral assignments are made. There are signiรcant spectral di โ erences between cultivars, which may be of value in identifying the origins of apple juices. The

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A detailed analysis of the proton highโfield (600 MHz) NMR spectra of tomato juice and pulp is reported for the first time. A combination of Jโresolved, COSY, TOCSY, DOSY, ^1^Hโ^13^C HSQC and ^1^Hโ^13^C HMBC 2D sequences was used to assign each spin system and to separate the components of the complex patterns in the 1D overlapped proton spectra. To obtain resolved proton spectra of tomato pulps the highโresolution magic angle spinning technique was used; a comparison with the liquidโstate NMR spectra of the corresponding juices was accomplished. On the basis of the assignments made, the chemical composition of tomato juices from two cultivars (Red Setter and Ciliegino) was determined. Copyright ยฉ 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

## Abstract The high field proton NMR spectra (500 and 600 MHz) of the peptide hormone somatostatin in D~2~O are reported. The results obtained are used to derive values of the couplings and chemical shifts related to the solution conformation of several of the side chains. This work resolves a dis
The 500 MHz proton spectra of monomeric bacteriochlorophyll a and chlorophyll a were recorded and assigned. The proton chemical shifts and proton-proton coupling constants were all determined except for the P-5 to P-15 phytyl side-chain protons. The conformational structures of the reduced rings an
