β¦ Synopsis
The optically dctectcd mngneric rcsonancc (ODAIR) nnd phosphoresccncc microwave double rcsonxncz (PJIDR) spectra of 1,5-.4.5-tetrabromobcnzenc in durcnc arc reported. The results shoxv that the phosphorescence originates from 311 undistorted "Blu(,nn') state. The sign and magnitude of the zero-field parsmeters sre discussed in terms of spin dipolnr interactions in the 3 B u, state snd large spin-orbit contributions to the zero-field splittinp. Finally, the tscited triplet stntc values for the "I3r and " Br nuclear quadrupolc coupling constants arc obtained from an anaiysis of the zero-field ODMR.

The molecular constants of the previously unobserved 5 and \(6^{\prime} \Sigma_{g}^{+}\)states of \(K_{2}\) are determined and the potential curves are constructed using the Rydberg-Klein-Rees (RKR) method. The absolute vibrational numbering of the \(5^{\prime} \Sigma_{8}^{+}\)state is obtained by c
