## Abstract Mangosteen fruit pericarp (MFP) is a rich source of xanthones, which has shown remarkable pharmacological activities. To isolate xanthones, previous methods included labor intensive and time‐consuming solid‐phase extractions (Sephadex LH20, silica gel) and sequential solvent extraction.
