✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Electrochemical deoxygenation of methyl 7‐keto‐lithocholate using deuterated reagents, followed by base hydrolysis is shown to give [7,7‐^2^H~2~] lithocholic acid in 60% overall yield and 86% ^2^H~2~ isotopic purity.
