2'-Deoxyxanthosine (dXao) has been prepared by treating 2'-deoxyguanosine (dGuo) with basic nitroprusside.

Successful conversion appears to be favored by ionizing both dGuo (increasing its nucleophilicity)

and dXao (protecting it from protolysis).

Uniform shuttle-like Sb 2 S 3 nanorod-bundles were synthesized via a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) assisted solvothermal approach under alkaline condition, using antimony chloride (SbCl 3 ) and thiourea (CH 4 N 2 S, Tu) as the starting materials in ethanol. The phase structure, composition and morpholo
