Synthesis of M-caryopterone (I), cC-dihydrocaryopterone (II), 9-methoxy-d-lapachone (III) and 4,9-dihydroxy-oC-lapachone (IV) has been carried out starting from juglone via 2,8-dihydroxy-1,4\_naphthoquinone.
