✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, [Co~2~(NCS)~4~(C~10~H~9~N~3~)~3~]~n~, 4,4′-dipyridylamine (dpa) ligands link octahedrally and tetrahedrally coordinated Co^II^ atoms with pendant isothiocyanate ligands into [Co~2~(NCS)~4~(dpa)~3~]~n~ chains that propagate along the c axis. These form sinusoidal pseudo-layers coincident with the ac plane via N—H...S hydrogen bonding.
